SHS Marketing moved from Oceanview High School when Southern High opened. Joining them were students from Inarahan High who had started in Marketing the year before. Part of the program is the Student Store Laboratory, where students and teachers can pick up anything from drinks and snacks to a full meal. While the students are learning how to run an actual business, the program benefits through funding for DECA activities, support for the Guam DECA Competitive Events, and equipment in the classroom. Last year the store provided over $9000 worth of equipment such as computers for the classroom. The SHS Student Body Association receives part of their funding from the Student Store, and scholarships are available to attend the GCC college programs.
