WHERE: George Washington High School, Room B109

INSTRUCTOR: Richard Skipper

Marketing was established at GWHS in the Fall of 1997 and has quickly gained in popularity. This year, there are 55 First Year Students and 26 Second Year Students enrolled in the program. Students operate the 1,200 sq. ft. walk-in GWSH Student Store which sells hundreds of food and spirit items through five cash registers. The adjoining classroom has a mini-computer lab, a photocopier, a fax machine, TV, VCR, and comfortable seating for 30 students! This eye-pleasing classroom will soon be equipped with a digital camera, a scanner, Power Point presentation software, and a video camera. All this makes learning fun! As DECA members, Marketing students perform school and community service projects. They also enthusiastically participate in leadership workshops, the Guam DECA Competition, and many social events throughout the year.

"Service with a smile is our motto!"

"And you even get change back!"

The 1998-99 Officer Team

The first ever GW Team to compete in the Guam DECA Competitions. "Yes, we won medals!"
