GCC and DISID sign MOA
Officials from Guam Community College and the Department of Integrated Services for Individuals with Disabilities entered into a collaborative agreement Friday to provide GCC with computers and other assistive devices so the college can in turn provide more educational opportunities to persons with disabilities. GCC President Dr. Mary Okada and DISID director Rosanne Ada, along with DISID’s vocational rehabilitation administrator Albert San Agustin, signed a memorandum of agreement that allows DVR to provide financial support in the form of federal funding for the purchase of computers and other related assistive devices at GCC. The equipment will be located in the GCC library and in the college’s Accommodative Services Office.
“We are very pleased to be working together with the people at DISID in order to enhance the services already provided by the college for students with disabilities, and to provide educational opportunities for DISID clients,” said Dr. Okada.
